Whole Foods Friday: Cocktail time with hazelnut and rum

I've loved creamy cocktails for a long time, and if that creamy drink can be poured into layers, that's a bonus. Of course you're going to stir the drink before you drink it, but the layers make the drink look interesting when you present it.

This one has three distinct layers. I can guarantee that this will layer nicely if you use half-and-half. If you want a lighter drink, you could use milk, but the layers might not hold as well - but then again, you're going to stir it, anyway.

The flavor reminds me a little bit of butterscotch - but a nutty butterscotch.

Creamy Hazelnut and Rum

1 ounce hazelnut liqueur
1 1/2 ounces half and half
1/2 ounce rum

Fill a small glass with ice. Add the hazelnut liqueur, then the half-and-half. Float the rum on top. Serve.
Yum

It's 5:00 somewhere :-)!
I like how you think!
Hi Donna, I love rum, this is on my try list for sure.
Thanks Regina
My mom loves Kahlua and cream so I'm sure she would like this one too. I'll have to give her the recipe.
